Orb Planter

The hand-crafted Orb Planter is a standout architectural element that will complement any outdoor landscape or patio design. This round, spherical planter can be used in combination with other square and rectangular shaped planters for a nice contrast, or the larger size can stand alone as a tree planter. The Orb is available in multiple metal options including marine grade 5052 aluminum, and a high quality Corten steel, or mild low carbon steel with a natural rust patina finish.

Material and Finish Options

Aluminum

The aluminum garden planters are made from marine grade .090” thick 5052 aluminum. This aluminum alloy is light weight, exceptionally strong, and guarantees a long lasting, rust and maintenance free product. This material is the perfect solution for highly corrosive environments, or for placement on porous or easily stained surfaces. Available in 8 standard powder coat finishes as well as the oxidized zinc patina finish. The oxidized aluminium zinc finish is a proprietary process where the aluminum is treated so that it will naturally patina to represent the look of old world zinc but with out the toxicity of lead. Custom colors and sizes are available.

Cor-Ten Steel

Cor-Ten, or weathering steel, planters are made from .074” thick 606 alloy Cor-Ten steel. Common in architectural elements, this steel alloy is used for its unique rustic appearance and protective weathering qualities. This ultra durable material is perfect for all indoor or outdoor environments, as well as for commercial projects. Cor-ten products are available only in a natural rust patina finish, and will continue to patina and change over time.

Mild Steel

Mild steel products are made from heavy 14 gauged hot rolled mild steel. Mild steel offers a very durable and cost effective solution, is valued for its unique rustic appearance, and will continue to patina and change over time. Mild steel planters will only be available only in a natural rust patina finish.

*Note: Natural rust patina products will transfer color to light colored or porous surfaces. They are not recommended in areas where surface staining is a concern.

All metal planters come standard with 1”drain holes. They are designed for year round use, can be directly planted into, and do not require grow pots or liners. Please let us know at the time of order if you do not want drain holes or need custom drainage options.

The Orb Garden Planter has a 5 year limited warranty on its structure against manufacturer’s defects. Powder coated aluminum has a 3 year warranty on the finish.

Powder Coated Aluminum and Natural Rust Steel products have a 5 year limited warranty on their structure. The finish on the Powder Coated Aluminum containers have a 3 year limited warranty. The warranty on wood products is 1 year. There is no warranty on the structure and finish of any wood burning fire pits due to the variables of a wood burning fire. The powder coating may scorch and the metal may change shape under extreme wood burning fire conditions. In the event of a warranty claim, the owner will be required to provide proof of purchase and a sales receipt verifying the date. The manufacturer, at its option, may repair or replace the product to good working condition by using new or refurbished components. If repair is not possible, we will replace or refund the items when applicable. The manufacturer reserves the right to inspect the product prior to replacement or repair of the product.
